Sail Rock is a remarkable underwater pinnacle located in the Gulf of Thailand, between the islands of Koh Tao and Koh Phangan. This massive granite formation rises approximately 10 meters above the water’s surface and plunges to depths exceeding 40 meters below. Renowned as one of the premier dive sites in the region, Sail Rock offers divers an exceptional experience with its diverse marine ecosystem, vertical walls, and the unique “Chimney” swim-through. The site is famous for its abundant marine life, including vast schools of fish, colorful corals, and the occasional visit from whale sharks. A dive day at Sail Rock
Day program:
- 7:00 a.m: meet with our French instructor at our partner dive center for a welcome coffee/tea, fill out the papers and try on your equipment. The center’s taxi will take you to the pontoon for Sail Rock.
- 8:00 a.m.: The boat leaves the port for a journey of approximately 1 hour, during this time, breakfast will be on the boat and your instructor will give you the dive briefing.
- 9:30 a.m.: First dive of approximately 1 hour on the site to familiarize yourself with the environment, find your bearings underwater.
- 10h-11h: Lunch will be offered. A Vegan/Vegetarian option is systematically available.
- 11:15 a.m.: Second dive to fully enjoy the fauna and flora.
- 1:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.: Arrival of the boat at the port of Chaloklum
- 2:00 p.m.: Return to the dive center

You have never dived in your life:
A short explanatory course and a session of approximately 1h30 in the swimming pool are essential! During this discovery, you will learn how to manage your equipment as well as how to navigate underwater and manage your buoyancy for an exceptional immersion at Sail Rock the following day. These sessions take place in the afternoon around 3:00 p.m.

Snorkeling
