Since July 15, 2024, Thailand has implemented new rules regarding visa-free entry for tourists and business travelers. Here are the key points:
Visa-Free Stay Duration (Visa Exemptions)
- French nationals can now enter Thailand without a visa for up to 60 days.
- This 60-day period can be extended by an additional 30 days at the Koh Phangan immigration office for a fee of 1,900 Baht. Ensure you obtain the TM30 form (free proof of accommodation) from your landlord or hotel.
- Required documents for extension include:
- A photocopy of your passport’s main page and entry stamps.
- A passport-sized photo.
- Additional forms, such as the TM7, will be provided on-site.
